Wow I made this post a lifetime ago!
Since this post, we moved to CA, fought and lost a zoning case, moved back to MI after being homeless in CA for several months. Our family unit split up, and two of my roommates divorced, and one remarried. I got dumped by my cheating ex, and now I live back...
I do have a question about the distemper? Is that a no-no?
ZahZah is going in for a spay in a few days and I need to know if Sphynxes have a susceptibility to it. She's so tiny. She's like 1.5 years old, but isn't very big. I think poor care and the fact that the breeder CLAIMS her father is a...
Holy moley!
I have no clue how many pigs we will have once we get settled and registered. Can't be too many cuz I know there is a limit.
But 17 snakes???
I need to somehow come for a visit lmao
I love snakes. They are awesome! ^_^
Once, we had 4 pigs, and 4 cats, and then later, 5 pigs, 2...
Ahahahahah! Man. I'll be 28 soon and I have 1 cat and 5 pigs. And when we move, we are starting a sanctuary and getting a dog! And possibly more nekkid kitties!!
Feeds garlic to get rid of fleas??? Everything I have ever read about garlic is that it can cause anemia in cats. I won't share any food off my plate if I've cooked with garlic. :3
Of course it doesn't cause it after one time. But over time, it apparently has been known to. I've read the...
Thank you thank you!!! I just love this site. So much support!
^_^
This new adventure is a little scary, but with such an amazing support system, both in real life and online, I should be fine. :)
I am looking forward to warmer winters!
Oh. And we will be getting a puppy, a Great Pyrenees...
Update!
A very generous friend donated a 15 lb bag of Purina brand UT health dry food. I'm familiar with this product and its done great things for my grandmother's cat. Who, prior to switching to it, despite having good food, lots of water, and lots of wet food, developed chronic...
Oh yeah! Anyone from this area? Know any good vets in this area? How about doctor's offices?
We aren't gonna know anyone once we get there. It'd be nice to talk to a few folks and maybe organizes a coffee day or something with some local friends :) once we get settled I mean.
Oh yeah. We are...
Bubbie

All are rescues except Muta and ZahZah. Well I guess both they could also be considered rescues because they are in a way better home then the ones they came from, I think.
I think this is the right spot for a post like this.
Mostly I wanted to share the good news. It's currently 5am and I can't sleep. So ima post.
We got a great opportunity to move to California. Santa Barbara area. Maybe something like a 40-50 mile radius?
Anyways.
So we been struggling...
Ryuu was a Peterbald, and I did a lot of research about them when I got him. I dunno if I have enough posts to respond to a message yet, but I think I have contact info on my profile if you ever wanna chat. :)
I miss my handsome devil. PDBs are amazing cats :)
Yeah she won't eat anything pumpkin related.
We give it to our pigs when they are constipated. And the smell makes her run for the hills lol!!!
She's a meat kinda girl. It was all I could do to get her on the formula. >_< thank goodness the yogurt masks the smell lol
I've got her on antibiotics now.
She's taking it in plain yogurt mixed with powdered kitten formula for calories and nutrients. I also mix the powder right in. She seems to enjoy it that way.
This is only day two and she's feeling better.
Started the yogurt until we were able to get the...
I know that genuine UTIs are rare in cats. And usually its just inflammation. There is no blood or discoloration at her opening... lots of licking, tho. I wanna at least try something natural before moving to drugs. She so small, and she's so sensitive to changes in what she eats and drinks...
I know the complexities of a cat's urinary tract. I have more experience with males than females. But I suspect that she's having some issues. She's peed on someone... And I found a spot in my room where she's been peeing, that isn't the litter box. She seems to not be feeling well. She isn't...
