We use the Huggies coconut oil baby wipes and they work really well.
We also feed royal canin wet and dry as well as the Purina Pro plan but Orpheus doesn't have a sensitive stomach so that works for him.
We also use the breeders choice recycled paper litter which works great!
No I believe you are right that they run a bit hotter than a normal cat. I believe my vet told me when we took Orpheus in as she was checking to see if he had a fever when he was a little sick.
Yes Orpheus just seems more interested than anything but Bundy isnt up for playing. But it's been a week so far and only one swatting/hissing incident which is good.
Yes I'm glad it's going well. Mum just moved and her neighbours used to watch the cats for her (Bailey passed 6months ago) and with Bundy needing medicine twice a day she didn't want to do boarding cause she is so old. So Definitely happy its going well.
I won't lie I almost said yes to a new...
So Jamie and I are cat sitting for my parents while they are away so we have my 19year old family cat Bundy staying with us for 3 weeks.
She was dropped off on Monday afternoon so it's almost been a whole week and we seem to have settled in pretty well here.
Being 19 with some kidney problems...
Orpheus prefers to drink out of a glass as well so he has a water glass onthe desk that he gets most of his water from I usually have to refill it Dailey. He also has two other regular bowls around the house he can drink from.
Have you tried a paper pellet litter? We use breeders choice recycled paper litter and don't have any odor issues with it and it is pretty much dust free for us
Orpheus loves going outside. We built a catio on one-side of our balcony so we can leave the door open during the day and he can come in and out as he pleases. But we also take him with us to breakfast at cafes etc and he loves to walk around and sniff everything
I suggest trying the Breeders choice recycled paper pellets, if that brand is available, if not another paper pellets as they have been amazing for us and no dust issues. Very similar feel to a wood pellet.
I know a few people who use an oatmeal ora goat soap for their Sphynx and have had great...
It does look like maybe an allergy they look a bit like hives which I personally get from some of my allergies. I would say keep them clean and stop her itching or scratching them if they are bothering her and I would get a vet to check her over. Maybe do some.allergy tests etc and see if they...
Today is Orpheus' gotcha anniversary. It's so crazy that it's already been a year we have had so many firsts together and Jamie and I could never imagine life without him. He weasled his way right into our hearts the moment we held him in our arms for the first time and no matter how much stuff...
Yeah Orpheus can have a dirty butt. Usually it's fine but everynow and then he'll walk by and you'll get a bit of a whiff of poop in the air. On those days I'll give him a quick Wipe down. We use Huggies baby wipes with coconut in them and they work really well for us.
I think those all sound like great plans and any of them could definitely work so I would give it a go and see what happens.
I do recommend getting some cat friendly plants too like you suggested so they have their own little patch of green they can eat and sniff :)
I would try go as long as you can to start. So if you can last the month and just do wipe downs then go straight to the month. If you notice he's getting itchy or super dirty do the two weeks first. But definitely try to hold out for the Month. I have a white boy too and he also has brown around...
Omg you guys found him a girlfriend!? That's so exciting!! I cannot wait to see all the updates!
I haven't had first had experience unfortunately (wish I had a second baby haha) but I have read a few tips I've stored away for when my time comes.
Set up a safe space for her to get settled in...
Orpheus had some skin problems when he first came home which sounds a bit like what you're experiencing but his wasn't as many but he got a bunch of little red bumps on him like pimples which he would scratch and make so much worse the little idiot. We got our vet to show the dermatologist and...
