We love Norman and his tiger strips and would love to know what his actual pattern is. As for Atticus, he is an oddball already being a Ukrainian Levkoy, but his coloring is lovely as well. Does anyone have any ideas for either?
Update: Atticus is now at home. He had to be kennelled for a week (thankfully he is a calm kitty and did not mind). We had a vet appointment yesterday and so far everything is looking good. The vet has some concern about the bottom stitches healing because the tissue was so infected in that area...
Last Saturday our sweet Atticus was frantically trying to pee but couldn't. We immediately took him to the vet where they emptied his bladder and tried to massage the blockage out by hand. Unfortunately, this did not work. We transferred him to a 24-hour vet and had a catheter put in. Three...
Our local pet store also sells calming collars. It releases a pheromone that mother cats produce to soothe kittens. Might be worth a trying to get your baby to calm down. Hopefully, she will calm down with time and patience! Sending good vibes your way :)
We liked the more classic spooky names. Jynx, Salem, and Wednesday were all names we considered before deciding on Atticus (from to kill a mockingbird). In hindsight, I like the name, Bambi because I often think Atticus looks like a newborn deer, with his long legs and jumping.:cat:
Our little Normy just adores baths! This sweet boy could hang out in there for hours. Dad even plays a special kitty playlist for the boys. This does not keep Atticus in there! Maybe he just doesn't like the tunes lol!
The new kitten is pretty lazy and we trust Norman enough not to hurt him so we often put the kitten in the cat tree to sleep (this puts him out of sight so Norman is not tempted). The only time the boys ever get too rough is at night. We often have to redirect Norman to other things to do. He is...
Norman is a year old and the new kitten is 6 months. The first week was a little rough because the new guy was very shy and scared while Norman just wanted to play. We gave the kitten its own room and fed them near each other. This was very helpful. It has been around three weeks now and the...
We just got our sphynx boy (also named Norman) a friend a couple weeks back! They love love love to cuddle! I'm sure your little guy will be thrilled to have a playmate!
We have a sweet Ukrainian levkoy boy. However, he has straight ears but has the ability to fold them unlike our sphynx. So far he has had no health issues!
The vets are going to do a second ten-day treatment. Hopefully, this will take care of it! We also have a new litter box for after the treatment just to be sure. In the meantime, he gets a scoop of pumpkin with his meals to help with his stomach.
Norman has a vet appointment for tomorrow to see if he will need a second round of treatment. We will definitely ask the vet if there is something in the mean time to soothe his stomach. Thank you for all the great advice!
My sweet Norman had been sick for months before the vets finally decided it was giardia. Hopeful that we had finally solved the problem we did a round of panacur. However, a little over a week later he is still having horrible diarrhea. He’s not even a year old so I am very worried! When does...
