back again, begging for a solution that just won’t seem to come!!!!

I took more recommendations back in September for a diet change and ended up trying the “taste of the wild Rocky Mountain” dry food to no avail as usual ugh. I hate to keep complaining but I am completely over my wits end with figuring this out. My entire house smells like cat poop because of the constant soft and smelly poops that I just can NOT seem to fix no matter what I do or try.
I love my boy to death but this battle is exhausting and I feel like I stink all the time when he goes to his litter box.

I need the magic answer, I feel like I am the only one going through this issue for as long as I have and I truly do not know what food is right and every trial has ended in error. He is not sick nor has any worms or anything underlying to cause the Soft poops before anyone suggests that, I just can not seem to find a food that settles his tract whether wet or dry or wet and dry.

Someone PLEASE help me. ):

We see some test false negative for Giardia. Perhaps ask your vet to let you treat for it as it will not hurt. Also some very high protein foods are too rich and can cause an issue. A limited ingredient food might be something to look into.

@bumbino , remind us if you had a stool sample check? rule out giardia, tritrichomonas, coccidia?

my crew could not handle TOTW.
I switched to Nutrisource cat and kitten food touted for gut health and palatability. I get onpetflow, amazon carries too. not sold in box stores.

some swear by raw. one that is powder mix with a protein. it used to be called better in the Raw I fed my first bengal cat many years ago. it is renamed :

there is one that is popular @Xandria has info on.

we are here for you and your baby. you are not alone in the quest to solve poo issues.

Have you done a diarrhea pcr panel from your vet? It is not the same as a fecal testing for giardia and other parasites.

We went through this for almost a year. With two kittens! Will echo what others have said about testing, but once you've ruled out medical issues, don't give up! I lost count of how many foods we tried. Our magic bullet was an all-beef canned food from Hounds & Gatos. I'm not saying this is the one for you, but that there is something out there that will work. Have you tried anything yet that doesn't contain poultry? Be a label hawk, because often times it's not in the name, but can be the second ingredient once you drill down on the details.

Good luck! I feel your pain!

Hello! I decided to try the H&G brand and I just received my shipment. I was wondering how you fed your baby? Half a can twice a day? All at once?

I’ve just started him on the H&G brand…he won’t even try it ): I’ve been having to force feed him with a spoon because he currently has no other food and REFUSES to even take a bite on his own. I definitely do not want to go through this daily with the 24 cans I bought that were very costly to me but I feel like I have no other choice. Were your babies picky on this brand too at first and got adjusted? Or did they automatically like it? I don’t know how to make him eat it without forcing it into his mouth.

When they were kittens we did four times a day. It wasn’t easy, but after they became one-year olds, we shifted to three times a day. They differ quite a bit in size, but it takes the same amount for each to keep his weight. One is about 7.5 pounds and the other is about 9. They each get 1/2 can three times a day.

Oh no. I’m so sorry to hear this. Mine took to it right away. Out of curiosity, which protein did you get? Wonder if heating it up a little would be worth a try? I wish I could be of more help.
