I am going to post pictures of my cats mouth and teeth. PLEASE please please no rude comments or judgements. I have had Devlinn for a year and 5 months the primary concern for us has been her crazy diarrhea sometimes with blood, overgrowth of bacteria in her poop and her weight loss from it. I have tried brushing her teeth gently since I’ve had her. It’s a hard task and her gums bleed even if it’s done gently. Her vet was more concerned with her weight and diarrhea as well, but did say something about her teeth. From what I’ve read this could be bad, very bad. I wish I would have paid more attention to this before I got her from a family member, I was just so thrilled they let me have one of their naked cats. I have always wanted one. I never really looked her over well.

The last one she let me take

Relax for a second. I don’t think it is as bad as you think. My cat’s teeth and gums looked JUST like that when I got her 5 years ago. I was SHOCKED after I picked her up from a cleaning and they were white! It looks to me like she just has a lot of buildup and needs a good cleaning with a scraping. It usually costs $150-200 for the whole kit and kaboodle.

@MommyNaNell No need to worry about rude comments. We're a friendly community and we're here to support eachother.
I know how hard it is to brush the teeth of a sphynx. My crew don't allow me to do so at all!
I've seen sphynx with teeth like your Devlinn and after a cleaning at the vet they were in good shape again. We all know the worries we have when we notice something we didn't see before. So take a deep breath and ask the vets to take a good look. Hugs for you.

This is my boy Peewee. He has stomatitis. This video is after having 9 teeth removed and his cleaning. Sphynxs have black canine teeth, it's normal if that is a worry.

UPDATE:: I did it! We are diarrhea free!!!!!! I swapped out her food one more time from Purina One Sensitive skin & stomach. We decided to try Rachael Ray Nutrish Indoor Complete Natural Chicken w/ Lentils & Salmon Recipe.

Purina One Analysis
crude protein 34%
Crude fat 14%
Crude fiber 4%

Rachel Ray formula
crude protein 34%
crude fat 12%
crude fiber 8%

I have no idea if its the fiber that is in it but she finally has actual turds and I'm elated. Its been a long struggle with the diarrhea. I have noticed that she feels a lot better. She has more energy, has been more mischievous. As soon as things settle at home I will address her teeth and speak to the vet about how bad they are and what they suggest we do. She has been enjoying having another animal around, she cuddles him all the time. I am so glad things have gotten better and I figured something out for her!!! SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY!

We took in a found puppy in September and we looked for his owners for months and we could never find them. We named him Diesel because he snores so incredibly loud. It took some warming up but Devlinn loves him so much. We feed them raw chunks of meat sometimes when we cook, so they constantly are following us around the kitchen. His water apparently tastes better than hers, and he doesn’t mind sharing. He gets so excited when she gets out of her cage in the morning and greets her at the stairs. He lays next to her heater vent when she goes to bed sometimes or when she is on it. I also wonder if this has played a role in her feeling better as well because she was with her mom, dad and siblings for 7 years.

Thank you! I am happy they get a long, he wasn't going to be able to stay long term if not, since Devlinn was here first. But things worked out great!!! Yes, next step is definitely checking in on her teeth with the vet.
