Hey Sphynx lovers!

I currently have 2 Sphynxies. A 2 year old female named Luna and a 1.5 year old named Midi. My boyfriend and I have always wanted to add a little boy to the mix, but I wanted to get your opinions. I know adding a kitten to an existing household is always a process. Do you think adding a male would be any better or worse? I've come across a kitten available, and I'm really excited. He would be ready to come home at Christmas time.

What are your thoughts? Suggestions? Past experiences?

(Also looking for name ideas! Anything nerdy or horror related!)

Hi! I don't have any advice, but I will be following your thread, as I am adding a new little girl to my mix next Friday, and it will be good to get any helpful advice or suggestions! I am so excited. I've got a 3 year old male already, as well as 2 dogs. So, should be a fun process. I've decided on the name Harriet, with Harrie for short! There is a great thread on this site with all kinds of name suggestions.

Good luck with your decision, I know it's a scary thought to possibly upset the balance in your home, but I bet in the long run, it'll be totally worth it :)

Harriet is so cute!!! I'm stuck between Lando, Gambit or Darwin. I'm hoping when I meet him, it helps me decide

I always heard it was easiest to add the opposite sex of what you already have and that a kitten is easier than an adult. I have 2 dogs and 1 furry old cat and the 2 sphynx. Girl, boy, girl boy. My pets have never had a problem with baby animals. Good luck.

I only have one sphynx. I can't help with that personally.
But, everyone here that adds a baby to their home it works out
eventually or automatically.
So, if I wanted another one I would go for it.

I suggest asking your breeder if the boy you are considering is a laid back fella or one who might be a bight aggressive etc. Usually breeders can tell early on personality and you might feel more comfy knowing what time expect. Kittens usually learn fast where they stand in the pecking order.
