my oldest boy is almost 1. He’s always had a more sensitive stomach and is very picky. My little guy is 6 months and has a stomach of steel!

I’m in the transition phase of switching their food from Royal Canin kitten to Orijen kitten & cat (grain free). It’s been a week and I’m doing 50/50. I’ve noticed my older boys poop is quite soft. Hard & formed to start then really soft unformed at the end but not watery per se. is this normal? How long should I continue until deciding the food isn’t right for him? He loves it however, which is good. I was hoping to do 70/30 of the new food starting tomorrow. And my god does he poop stink. Yuck.

It can take a couple of weeks to fully transition. Even then not every cat does well on some food and you can still gave wet poop. Kudos to you for taking it slowly. Stay the course for another week...hopefully all works out.
