Hello, I will be travelling from the UK to the US with my little darling Bogey (2 year old pure bred sphynx) and I haven't been able to find an airline that allows cats in the cabin for transatlantic flights.
Has anyone done this?

He freaks out (screams, poops, spits) if he even smells another animal, let alone locked down below the plane in a cage hearing other animals cry and whimper.

My husband and I are so worried to have him cold and scared below the plane, also he cannot be sedated/given any anti-anxiety meds since he has to be fully awake to travel.

Has anyone travelled internationally with a sphynx before?

He is not a registered service animal, which so far are the only ones allowed in cabin on international flights.
So far, I've called and spoken with: United, American Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic.
They all say no pets in the cabin flying from EU... I wonder if I can fly to Switzerland and then fly to NYC from there?

I already have his shots in order and his pet passport/certificate of health.

Thank you. The last time I posted here (when the cat freaked out for smelling another animal) everyone was so supportive and helpful.

On my last international trips from the Netherlands I saw several people with pets on board. I did fly with KLM and air france those times. Maybe flying from the Netherlands to the USA is an option?

Fingers crossed you'll find a way to keep him with you!
