okay so normas doing fabulous and flaunting her crazy personality more and more every day! my only problem is i feel awful that we have to leave her alone at times i work 10-4:30 my boyfriend works 4:00-10 so the most shes ever alone is really like an hour and a half even when i do my things someoens usually home and if me and my boyfriend go out together its really only for like 2 hours max. she isnt alone alot but i think that mows me feel worse about when she is home alone so i guess my question is (and im being generous with the time frame its definitely less than 4 hours)

but would a sphynx be okay on her own for like 3/4 hours each day ?

she gets tons of time with us my boyfriend stays up really late i get up really early our work schedules are offset by like 45 mins etc
also pls dont say get another cat as the solution bc i am allergic to the low maintenance kind with hair and i can not afford to treat two naked cats like the actual babies they are lmao

@ameliabalcom Well, Norma is simply gorgeous! I know how easy it is to worry as a new mum, but I really don't think you should be concerned about the amount of alone time she has. Like @Sheldon13 and @Toa and Ross said, she'll just be sleeping while you and your boyfriend are out - cats are serious snooze masters after all! :) I read they sleep or semi-sleep/snooze for 16-20 hrs a day no bother, and that's part of their natural behaviour.

Oh my goodness, your baby will be fine. Don't forget, cats actually do need a lot of sleep during the day. I am amazed that my girl, Min, doesn't sleep that much – but she is her own special creature LOL.

I think we humans feel much worse than we really should. Hubby and I work from home so we are here almost 24/7. And if we are gone together at the same time for a couple of hours, at the end, all we can think of is getting home to the cats. LOL. But when we check up on them with our home video surveillance system, they are just crashed out sleeping! They could care less.

I'm in a similar boat as I would love to get Orpheus a friend but can't at this stage. But don't feel bad. I work 4:30-3 4-5 days a week and my partner works 6-1 mon-fri and Orpheus is Totally fine. He gets lots of snuggles and playtime when we get home and spends most of the night with us but there are days even when we are home that he just goes off and does his own thing. As much as I think he would love a friend we aren't ready to get him one and he his honestly totally fine even on days we are both out of the house. We also take him with us for walks etc when we do have days off together which he enjoys.
