Hi all!

We have had little Nimbus for a week now! We want to start harness training him so he can walk on a leash. I have bought two so far specifically for kittens, in the smallest sizes. However they are both too big for him! So big that it almost trips him up and he can take his legs out of it.
I know he will grow fast but we want to get him used to the harness whilst he is still as young as possible ( currently 12 weeks old)

Does anyone have any recommended kitten safe harnesses that actually fit their tiny bundles of joy?

Thank you so much in advance!

@Nimbus2022 , cuteness overload , Nimbus is precious! agree with trying ferret harness.
keep in mind harness are not escape proof... I learned with a harness I tried years ago when he was startled . lucky it was on a practice training run in fenced back yard and did not bolt out of the yard over the fence. ( I do not recommend come with me kitty harness )

I believe Voyager is a popular harness not sure what the smallest size is? perhaps check local stores to return if not a good fit?
members will surely chime in. the top right search box for Harness may bring up older posts/ recommendations

hugs n head smooches. look forward to lots of pics and tales

Update! Found an amazing one that comes in all sizes ( one actually small enough) and with the added bonus of a bit of style! Also way easier to put on and off than the ones with just a hole at the head! It is called Yizhe Miaow ! View attachment 109606View attachment 109607
Our guys have both been using harnesses all their lives, and we also had trouble finding suitable harnesses for Cleopatra. The one you found is really nice. I am a seamstress and tailor, so I started to make harnesses very much like yours.
Does yours close with velcro alone, or with both harness clips and velcro? I found that Marcus could get out of the velcro-only harness easier, so all their harnesses have buckles or other closures along with the velcro.
Next question: how long before you get him a stroller? Our guys love their strollers!

I have this one now I started with the H harness and had no problems as it was very light weighted. My friend was struggling to get his fully grown cat to walk so I gave him my H harness and he got his cat to walk the first time she went out with it. But if you get yours used to this one from day one you shall have no problem. I agree with the extra catch with the Velcro Love your baby So cute
