Did you know that 50% of cats are allergic to chicken! Why don't food companies know this! It says duck but they add chicken! Read the ingrediants before purchase. When you ladies always tell new moms to be careful of chicken You were not joking. I had to stop giving Shamus meat as I can not get any at the moment and wow what a different cat I have. My walls are no longer decorated with cat snot. He stopped sneezing. I changed everything in his diet to litter and nothing. Everything except the chicken.
He even looks so much healthy and nice clean eyes and face. I am on the BAN THE CHICKEN wagon right now
OMG I hope that's the answer for my Luna, she has a lot of snot and itchy skin with rashes. I'm taking her to the dermatologist to check it out. When you ladies always tell new moms to be careful of chicken You were not joking. That sounds like an allergy too. I hope they can do a test and find your trigger quicker than it took me to find it. My poor man had a year of snot and my walls had a constant splash of it in every room.OMG I hope that's the answer for my Luna, she has a lot of snot and itchy skin with rashes. I totally know what you mean with the snot splash bring everywhere, after taking Luna to a specialist and taking some exams, she was diagnosed with chronic rhinosinusitis. At some point the inflammation was so that she had nosebleeds and painted the walls to look like a crime scene. Now she's better with permanent nebulizer treatment. That sounds like an allergy too. Good luck and May it be a success.
Yes, she does wear clothes a lot and I'm very careful with the material since once she got red bumps after wearing one specific clothes. Here are the pics.@LunaTiramisu , hugs n positive vibe head smooches for the vet visit.. does she wear clothing all the time? sometimes they can get heat rashes, or be allergic to detergents, fabric softeners, scented litters?
do you have a pic to share?
Sphynx Skin Conditions
#1 Food allergies: It is not uncommon for some sphynx to have food allergies. Many studies have shown that certain ingredients contained in cat food are more likely to cause food allergies than others. The most common offenders are chicken, beef, lamb, seafood, corn, soy, wheat gluten and dairy...sphynxlair.com
I was lucky to have my son telling me that a high percentage of cats are allergic to chicken (he owns pet stores). I quickly found a limited ingrediant food with a protein he never ate. After little time his skin improved, his stolls became normal, he stopped sneezing, and almost no sebum! Since I've introduced other proteins and he is doing with them as well. So, duck, quail and turkey are on his menu. I'll try white fish later.OMG I hope that's the answer for my Luna, she has a lot of snot and itchy skin with rashes. Hi! This could be a skin allergy due to clothing, blanket or detergents. Have you given a bath to your kitty lately? I wouldn't think its a food allergy. A quick call to your vet may be useful if it becomes worst.Yes, she does wear clothes a lot and I'm very careful with the material since once she got red bumps after wearing one specific clothes. Everything in my house is hypoallergenic, from the detergent, the litter, the shampoo... I am allergic to dust and hard chemicals myself so she's just like me her momma

She went 2 months without a bath and it persisted. I havent changed the detergent and no new blankets, the detergent is natural too. Also she licks herself way too much, sometimes she stops playing or eating to lick herself. I'm taking her to see the dermatologist on monday, I'll keep you updated!Hi! My Ary has seasonal allergies, she sneezes and has boogies flying everywhere! Her allergist put her on an allergy medication. My Mew sneezes and snots all over the place. Be says he "might" have allergies but gave me nothing. I'm allergic to a lot of things so everything is hypoallergenic. Reading all of this I NEVER knew so high a percentage of animals (cats and dogs) are allergic to chicken. I'll try to get that out of his diet but so much stuff has chicken in it!!!!
