Art for my store... Want opinions on it.

We own a skateboard shop... Wanted to incorporate our kitty with our store.. So I got a local artist to draw up something for us. I am not sure if it displays when I write on the forums but can be seen at "Lisa Dobby" photo album. Just curious if you guys think it looks like a Sphynx... The art is not finished yet. I asked him to do the kitty a bit smaller and give him a really long and narrow tail.... Just curious what you fellow Sphynx owners think... When the art is finished it will be used on a skateboard.

Yeah I agree a bit more pear shaped... I think the neck could be a bit longer too... I also hate the way the guys hands are holding him and no hands are really there... I want real hands on it too...

I want to see more of his body, yes, a long tail, and his ears- I think they can be better shaped.

Eyes should be of a lemon shaped with a touch of "alien" face. A long "rat like" tail that comes to a curl like our "Sphynxlair" cat.:Laugh:

I love it! But do agree with being a bit smaller and having a thinner tail and longer neck...so cool though...i would buy one!!

Oh man, I like Admin's picture. I love the whole alien thing.

At first I thought the graphic was a little girly, but after a closer look, it's really not. I love the patch on the eye. Must be inspired by your little one. I agree with the hand thing.

Now, if I can manage to not break my ankles and arms, maybe I can get one.

I love the idea, just needs some tweaking, Love Love the eye patch, the sphynx with eyepatch should totally be your logo!
How about instead of the mad scientist guy, just the sphynx alone, his tail could wrap around the board?
Whatever you go with it's gonna be awesome, it's a great idea!

Well I have to say I have never seen a skateboard with a Sphynx on it... I think he is unique just like my kitty. We usually use our shop graphics for at least 2 years... The kids around here buy lots of them because they are cheaper than the pro boards which cost up to 90 bucks... So most like to skate the shop decks because they are high quality and cheaper. My Dobby has spent some time at our skateshop and has become somewhat of a local celebrity in our skate community. With all of his treatments to his eye I had no choice but to bring him to work with me so there are lots of kids out there that really care about him. It was actually some of the kids that came up with the idea of using his likeness on a deck. I think it will be a success to use a graphic like this. I will update you guys with the new image as soon as the artist is finished with it. I am glad most of you like him... I agree he needs a really long rat tail! LOL I think that is the part I like the best on my real Dobby. His tail is sooooo long!

Its hard to crit such a whimsical style, because once you correct it, it isn't whimsical any more lol but i tried and keep it basic and to their style.

Good, you fixed the leg. I couldn't tell which was the tail and which was the leg. Its super cool tho and a great idea! I can't wait to see how it turns out in the end!

lol...I just thought they were both legs at first...DOH!
