Okay so, I don't actually have a precious hairless baby yet (I'm still looking to adopt or rehome) but I do have a question about bathing them. So, I'm physically disabled, have a lot of back problems, Etc. and bathing my animals that I have now is difficult for me because getting down on the on the floor to the tub is kind of hard. I have family members that help me out but if I were to get a cat of my own I wouldn't want to have them do the more difficult task. Are there little baths or something similar that you guys recommend? Or maybe any recommendations for making the sink comfortable? Any help would be greatly appreciated

@VivLNorris , here for you.. . I have had 3 back surgeries, 2 shoulder surgeries , a knee and a wrists surgery. this bunch has been great for helpful tips for "spa day". glad you are planning ahead and asking questions. I personally found it easier on my back with a members recommendation for the stokkes flexibath for babies. its not very big, easy to use and folds away! I put on the bathroom sink counter with a towel in the bottom and underneath it. supplies , rinse cup and exfoliating gloves on the counter. the gloves help clean and also hold slippery kitty! I position it over the bathroom sink with drain plug out. they stand on the edge of it and I can wash and rinse bellies.. I also got an ace sink adapter on line, connect to my sink. I keep the chrome adapter on the sink at all times, work fine without hose connected. I have drying towels on the side by my little vanity chair. I scoop them out of the flexibath and on a towel. sit on my little chair and pat them dry.
it is ssoo much easier with my bad back vs. the kitchen sink which the counters are higher than the bathroom counters.

we gotcha. all paws crossed the sphynx stars align. keeping an eye out for you! glad you are jumping in and asking questions. it's all family here.
members will surely share "spa day " tips

I thought I had to bathe my kitten every week but realized I don't have to (it actually made her get more bumps on her skin). But if you get a Sphynx that likes water it will be very easy because they have no fur. My kitty doesn't like water so it is kinda difficult. Or you can just wipe them down until they actually need a real bath. I fill a basin with warm water and use a washcloth to wipe her once a week and so far that has been working. It's usually under her neck that starts turning a bit orangey? in-between the wrinkles. I just sit down on my living floor and turn on this portable heater next to her and start wiping her down. She is getting more used to it now and maybe she will eventually like the water when I give her a real bath one day.

@babymeow , thank you for sharing your routine. helpful to all of us!
as for the "orangey" it can be from needing a bit more rinsing off of shampoo in that area members have shared.

I like the little heater idea during "spa time" :).
I have bath haaaters. I do biweekly wipe downs.
glad she is getting more used to it.
I am always envious when I see pics of nakids loving spa day baths!

hugs n head smooches!
