I have not heard of that Insurance so I couldnt tell you.
We have VPI with the lil man. Both others are too old for Insurance, no one wants to insure them.

We have Trupanion. I had the free trial with Kazoo that rolled over into a paid policy. I was fortunate because I did end up using it.

I have it for Odin too but he won't be covered for anything respiratory. Vet swabbed his ears so I hope that will be covered.

Vito had nothing and I wish I had gotten it right away as he ended up with HOCM, dental issues and allergies which are all chronic and expensive.

Ahwww Caloci I'm sorry to hear that. I should probably get my kitten insured right away. Can you explain the paid policy a bit more please?

I have VPI and it has been amazing with Emma Leigh, they have paid out over 8K on her cancer and chemo. If you want more details, message me and I will send you a write up I did on my experience.

Basically, you choose your deductible and they bill you on a monthly basis based on average service costs in your area. The pay up to 90% on covered treatments and meds etc.

For example, they don't cover the cost of the vet visit or taxes. If your animal has a pre existing condition, anything concerning that isn't covered either. Nor is routine things like shots, neuters etc.

If you start with a trial policy signed off by a vet there is no waiting period before you can place a claim. If you just purchase on like you have a 30 day period before coverage kicks in.

The week that I had Kazoo my vet bills were just over 1500 and I got back approximately 1250.

Has anyone used PetPlan? They cover vet exam fees and it seemed like it would be worthwhile since the wellness care for other insurances that covers exam fees is an extra charge.

after extensive research, i think decided to go with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. my original plan was VPI, however, it just didn't settle with me well after reading some reviews from people who had needed to file claims, along with their decision to not cover any hereditary disease for 12 months, even if you choose the $22/mo comprehensive plan. to be honest, for that kind of money, i would rather go for a company that has a better customer approval rating and doesn't have that stipulation.

Older post, but I researched extensively when we found out Bastet would be coming to us. She's only been with us for a week, but she has been signed up with Healthy Paws. I decided on the 90% reimbursement with the $100 deductible. They don't cover wellness, office visit fees, pre existing conditions or dental (unless a tooth was damaged in an accident), but they do cover hereditary and congenital conditions with no caps on benefits. (Hcm scans are not covered since it's considered preventative unless diagnosed. Yes, I asked. Lol) At any rate, that's the company we picked. That was a HARD choice all the way around. Haha.
