Call me childish, or what, but I'm a little nervous. I just brought Sméagol to the vet for his castration. I know it isn't that big operation, but it is an operation. I felt sorry for the little guy, but I also know that's necessary. But I don't like anesthesia. Not for myself, and not for my beloved cats (and my husband)

Sméagol also have an eyeproblem, his tear ducts are in bad condition, so they will have also a look on that too.

Is there something for the little guy I can do when he is back. Should I keep him seperated from Ramses? I totally don't have any experiene with this. When I was a child, we have a dog and when de dog has to go to the vet, my parents did that.

Thans for reading anyway.

Hi Annielies,
Just give him a little bit more love and attention for a few days and he will be fine. He may be a bit grumpy for a few days. There should be no reason to seperate.
Good luck!

He will be fine. Your worries are normal.
I am going to disagree with my husband :Surprise: and say that it would be A good idea to keep the 2 separate for A while especially if Sméagol has stitches when he comes home:ThumbsUp:

Just picked him up at the vet's. When we came home, he first gave the house a little inspection and now, he is snoozing in one of the baskets. he is a little tired I guess and the wonds are bleeding a bit. (had to clean the sofa up yuck).

I think he will be fine in a couple of days. Ramses finds it very interesting, the smell of smeagol, the blood, but Smeagol wants to be alone. Poor little one!

Glad he's back home and doing okay! My Walter took about 3 days to recover after his surgery, and he had the biggest black bruises all over his back legs - it looked so painful! But, after the 3rd day he was up and running around as if nothing happened!

I am sure he will make a quick recovery:Smile: Maybe he would just like a quiet place to snooze until he is feeling back to normal.

P.S. that wasn't childish we all worry about our loved ones

Thanks all for your warm words!

Well, he's alive and kicking. He and Ramses were very hungry and the vet told me, that Smeagol can eat a little portion, but only if he asked for food. the answer was: Yes and he wants more! So he and Ramses came in action. I have a large Royal canin food bucket, and the smashed it down, so it went open....Nice little kitties!. So put them togeteher in the hall, put the food in the bucket again and gave more food. Now everything went back to normal!
