Hi everyone I own 2 sphynx my male is black and white. I noticed when I got him he had a black dot center of his forehead and I thought nothing of it at that time. 6 months later now he is getting these black flat smooth spots all over his head. It went from one to prob about 2 dozen in six months. It's not blackheads, and they don't bother him. There mostly on his forehead, eyelid n shoulder. Anyone have any idea what these are? I can't figure out why I can't post pic on here but I have it under my profile pictures thanks.

They look like some kind of pigmentation to me. Merlin has a couple of what my vet called freckles on his side. They don't bother him but the vet said to keep an eye on them in case they start to grow or change.

@Shmittybuilt - They look like sun spots - Does you sphynx sit in the windows in the sun a lot? See this thread as well http://www.sphynxlair.com/f20/creepy-black-spots-neck-back-4904/ or http://www.sphynxlair.com/f33/warning-window-sun-bathers-15697/ if ever in doubt a quick vet check will not hurt. Also you can do a search with key words like "black spots" at the top of the forum area where our search feature is.

I am thinking sun spots also. But it just made me think, Leo is the same color and has the same kind of spots on him. He seems to get more with age? I wonder if it has anything to do with the color of the sphynx? Athena does not have any and her and Leo pretty much do the same thing. (sitting in the window ect.) I have noticed in past threads also that it seems to be grey or grey and white tuxedos that have the spots.

What does everyone think could it just be color?

I think you are on to something with this. Jezebel is a grey and white tux and she has one of these black spots on her head. It just appeared a few months ago. She also has a few little brown freckles that have developed over time on her face too.

Bentley has some took although they are not dark. I think they're just freckles, vet didn't think anything of it.
