Hello Everyone

I was wondering if anyone knows what the normal Body temperature is for the sphynx? Also at what temperature is it it too high?

Thanks

Meecho runs about 100-101 normal. When she was sick a few days ago she was 105.9 and that is WAY to high. When she saw the vet she was 103.4 and the doctor said she was still a little high but not to bad. hope that helps. If you want to do a search on what a normal cat's temp is just add about 4 degrees more for a sphynx.

Sphynx internal temperatures are the same as other cats. Their external temperature is the same also, but they feel warmer because you can actually touch their skin. If you were to shave a furred cat bald, they'd feel just as warm as sphynx do.

Normal temperature is 100.5-102.5

The basal body temperature of a sphynx is 1.5 degrees higher than other breeds. Therefore if you are visiting a vet who is not well versed in the Sphynx breed , he can mistakenly think your Sphynx has a fever.
