Oz is having - yet again - an abscess in his hoof. This time poulticing wasn't clearing it.
Stormy... managed to break his HOOF WALL. So yesterday I had both the farrier and the vet out, mainly for Stormy because he was lame and it needed fixing pronto.
Oz had the abscess cut out and opened so it can drain... 10 days of rinsing the hole with Air Oxygene, or Betadine.
Same thing for Stormy. His foot was pretty bad, hence the vet had to come to sedate him. He also has shoes on both fronts now. First time in his life for shoes...
Before.
Very sleepy pony (VERY!) because the vet misjudged the dose. Vet actually stayed because he was like "oh shit, I gave too much". I had to prop Stormy up so he didn't fall over!
After. You can see how much wall had to come off.
Oz's abscess being opened, it was deep.
So I'm broke now.
