Hi there I am new to the thread I have a serious question and I’m hoping somebody has some input . I lost my sphynx Mishu in March I had him for 10 years it was devastating he had an enlarged heart and closer to his death he was breathing weird something that we notice and we took him to the vet . After a few months we recently got a new sphynx Milo that we are obsessed with I’m noticing that he is doing a lot of coughing it’s usually after he’s sucking on his skin he’s also not all the time but sometimes does kind of like a gasping for air only when he wakes up in the morning and then he’s fine he eats he jumps. I am in Westchester and I can’t seem to find a specialist for sphynx cats - I’m taking him to Banfield‘s and because it’s such an exotic breed they really don’t know what to do so I’m hoping someone has some insight that they can share thank you all!

Agree... when they hit a year old a baseline echo is great...if worried getting one earlier can’t hurt.

@adeleon , welcoming you and Milo to the lair family. agree with starting with an Echogram for a baseline. where are you located? you can post a thread for vet recommendations near you... did banfield give a diagnosis? medications?

((hugs))) for your Mishu getting angel wings. remember the love..
