Brown spots on the skin

Hi all, my cat has some brown spots on his skin and they seem to be spreading. I paid a visit to the vet and the doctor said it was because of dirt and dry skin.
I bathe him weekly and used Vetericyn on him once or twice a day, it doesn't seem to become better. Any recommendation on how to deal with it (coconut oil? shampoo?), I'm scared that it is going to cover the whole body.

Welcome! Is it raised? It so light colored its hard to tell really, if its dirt or sebum (natural skin oil) a bit of coconut oil before a bath might help, its quite possibly just skin pigmentation which is harmless and common.

It's not raised. I just bought coconut oil for him today and will try it on him.

Not too much, just a tad bit on the spots, it can actually attract more dirt if you use too much.

@VictorFU It is hard to tell from the pictures, but sounds like it could be dirt. Have you thought of bathing him less? Once a week sounds like a lot, and can help make them dirtier faster as they produce more oils from overcleaning.

It looks like dirt. My boy gets this spots too. I use a tiny bit of coconut oil and baby wipes to get it off
