So we did it yesterday! traded in our smaller camper for a much much larger one. It is brand new and we wanted to be able to take Harold with us camping. My husband is a really tall guy and he wanted a bigger bed, and bigger shower. Our small one fit me fine. My selling point was Harold can come!!!!!! Lol. The bedroom has real closing doors so he can safely be secured in the bedroom until he relaxes and wants to explore. It has air conditioning and heat so he will be comfortable temp wise. The little dogs will be coming too and they are like harolds safety blanket... if the dogs are up running around then he feels safe enough to come out to.
We are really excited.
Our first camper we only bought 3 years ago, but at the time we only had suvs, so we had to get a certain weight to be able to pull it. But My husband bought a truck recently after.
We will be going for one small camping trip in a couple weeks. And then we already have reservations for a 5 day camping trip about 3 hours from home. One more reservation for labor day weekend. And usually one or two small trips in-between.
Any tips from someone who takes their sphynx camping will be very helpful!
If we will be coming in and out a lot I will be sure to lock him in the bedroom so he cant accidently escape. Thanks!!
Camping has been the only thing we do that we haven't been able to take Harold with us. And after the past trip and harolds food and skin troubles we really wanted to find a way to take him with us.
