Another fun Chadwick story!

I had to try to get some sleep last night because I worked the next night and I had a meeting at work all that morning. I didn't figure it would be a problem because when I'm off work, I've noticed that Chadwick sleeps at night. Well, when I decided that I would go to sleep, little Chadwick decides to lay on my chest (not unusual). When I do not pet him, he scoots over so his back legs are pressing against my throat (unusual). If you have never had a 10.5lb cat laying his weight on your throat (which at this site, I'm sure you have), let me tell you, it ain't that fun! When I put my hands up to lift some weight off before deciding how to remove him from my neck and not get scratched, he starts thinking I'm giving him loves and gets all purry. When I say that, I mean he is almost yelling his purrs and gets really comfy. I don't know if I have ever mentioned this, but when Chadwick gets into love sessions, he starts to drool like a St. Bernard. So, here I am, with a large skincat on my throat in the dark and all of a sudden I feel a drop of mystery wetness on my shoulder. GROSS!!!!!!! After that, I knocked him off of me, scratches be damned, and he decides he is going to jump up and start smacking the blinds, knocking my keys around the counter before finally knocking them into my shoe bin (which I did not know about until I couldn't find my keys this morning), and then getting up on another counter where I had apples still in those plastic bags from the grocery store and rustling those around a bit. Oh, not to mention the little breaks he took from all of that to jump on my stomach and neck some more!
So, I finally get to sleep around 7:15am. That would be dandy if my alarm didn't go off at 7:30am! I wanted to cry!

Oh, best part of all! I never did get sleep and have been slammed at work all freaking night!!!!!

I cannot wait until I get home and find Chadwick trying to sleep...

That stinks! I do not know how you do it working nights, even if I did not have A cat waking me up there is still no way I could work nights. (I have enough trouble getting to work in the morning) it's A good thing I do not have A time to be at work.
Try leaving him with some cat nip when you work maybe that would keep him up and then when you get home take it away and he will pass out:Laugh:

Go figure that little turd doesn't freak out about catnip!

I have been working nights since I was 18 (I'm now 23) and I find it complete torture to have to be awake during the day. Thank God for 24hour Walmarts! I don't have a clue how anyone could possibly work during the day! I've always said that they could never pay me enough to work days! It actually works out well in getting jobs because no one EVER wants to work nights!

Lol, that's funny that Chadwick drools, I wasn't sure if that was normal...Scrotie gets all in to his purr session and dribbles on me!

Weird, Ra insists on coming to bed with me when I get home (I'm a night walker) too but he's a pleasure to sleep with he just cuddles up with his back against my chest and is usually snoring before me.

Catnip is a no no though, it turns him into a total tweaker he zones out for a bit (maybe 5 minutes or so) and then goes totally nuts and zooms around like he's on speed or got a rocket up his butt... never seen anything like it before all my other catrs acted like they were lounging in an opium den and just mellowed out and then went to sleep but not Ra

"mystery wetness on my shoulder. "

oh man, well if there's a silver lining, I guess it's that it didn't happen on your neck or higher
