Hi all! I havent posted in a while but I really need some advice! Casper has been peeing in our clean basket of clothes whenever there is one usually every day. We have 2 cat boxes and both of them are cleaned out 2 times a day or more if someone does a smelly poo. I am not sure how to stop her from doing this! Anyone have any advice? We have been trying to not leave them around but if there is any clothing item on anywhere she peeps on it. This is driving me crazy!!Any advice is very much appreciated!!! Thanks!

I would take her to a vet and rule out a UTI.

Anytime I've experienced this it was due to a UTI. Goodluck and hope you get it figured out soon. Also through some enzyme cleaner in the laundry when you wash those clothes. Might want to put them in a bucket and soak in the cleaner for a bit before throwing in the wash. Hopefully this will elimanate any smells she may be picking up on.

I would definately start by looking into UTI. Most of the time that is what it is. I will share though that I had a litter box diva who was very particular about the conditions. Once I figured out her demands she stopped peeing outside the box.

One of the things I did was to take a very close look at the pan itself. Although I washed them on a fairly regular basis, the pans were getting worn from years of use and the bottoms weren't shinny and smooth anymore. Also as the surface plastic was scratched away, it became a odor trap for the smells. Once I replaced all the pans, my diva was happy.

We had a cat once that started peeing on things like that and we linked it to a roomate that had just moved in. She either Loved him or hated him not sure but as soon as he moved out she also stopped peeing on things. Weird!

I don't mean to make light of the situation but sometimes we just gotta laugh at the dumb things our little hairless friends do.

I'm sorry Tanya, I have no advice but Casper sure did make me laugh. That little troublemaker.
