Hey there!
My sphynx Mouse is definitely a door dasher, I don't mind as I live in a secure block of flats and there's nowhere for him to go in the corridor once he manages to escape my flat. He runs around in the hallway, smelling all the smells and exploring and doesn't appear stressed or nervous at all. This got me thinking that he would be the perfect candidate for sphynx-walking.
I bought him a harness for him to wear but he's not overly keen on it right now. It's frustrating knowing once he wears it properly he's going to love the adventures as I'll be able to take him to my secure rooftop terrace to explore.
He sits by my front door meowing for me to let him out on the hallway so he's definitely very keen to explore.
He doesn't seem distressed when wearing the harness, he just sits down and looks at me like 'what have you done to me'. If he shows any signs of being distressed by anything I would stop immediately because it's not fair. He wears shirts/jumpers when it's cold and he absolutely loves them but i guess a harness is slightly different.
Does anyone have any tips on getting your cats used to a harness and what has your experience been?
Here is a picture of Mouse from the other day. Enjoy
