I wrote this before I had a sphynx, but most of it will still apply:

Mewsings

Five lines and felines are the key
That surround the spaces of harmony
The majors and minors from A to G
Are the sharps and flats of life’s symphony
A variety of notes make up the voice
From the lullaby purr to the mutterings of choice
The staccato rattle when watching the birds
And the vibrato growl that requires no words
The squeak of excitement, and the howl of success
The quiver of whiskers and chirp of address
The tail when contented has a metronome swing
Becomes an excited baton when ready to spring
And I hope nobody minds that I quote partially
"Music and cats are the refuge from life's misery"*
To make your own music, the first place to start -
Understand that a note is a paw print on the heart

*"There are two means of refuge from the misery of life - music and cats."
- Albert Schweitzer
