My cats have been on Earthborn Holistic Primitive Feline since I brought them home. Over 3 yrs ago. Now they seem tired of it. What to do?
They also have Hills Science Digestive Care I/D for IBD and I give them 1 small can of Fancy Feast Grilled Chicken.
Treats are Opticare L-Lysine Chews 1-2 daily and raw pumpkin.
So what are your thoughts on replacing the Earthborn? Or should I wait? I know sometimes they go thru periods and if patient it passes.

I think animals are just like humans and they enjoy a variety. I feed raw now, but when I didn't I still offered different canned foods and kibbles. I would offer 2 different kibbles from the same brand and 5 different wet foods from the same brand. This way there was no tummy upset.

Our puppy does that, he's eaten three foods in the time we've had him (coming up two years) he gets bored of it lol
Worth a shot if they aren't interested

My cat used to eat wet food once a day and eventually stopped eating it so I just cut it out of his diet - try changing brands perhaps? I use natural balance dry food and its great, he loves it.

Also as far as treats, he's not picky, but goes crazy for freeze dried shrimp!

I would first get a good grain free canned food.
Different flavors. Feed it 2-3 Times a day.
Still give the Earthborn. Switch to a grain free dry food
about a couple weeks later. So, if they get sick or something happens.
You'll know the wet food ( canned ) is all that's changed.
Changing dry food.
1st week 1/4 New food and 3/4 old food
2nd week 1 /2 New food and 1/2 old food
3rd week 3/4 New food and 1/4 old food
4th week completely change.

And don't be worried if it takes you longer. It took me eight weeks to change Ellie over.

The freeze dried shrimp are treats from the pet store I believe. That's at least what I have. They have a bunch of other things too. All real food lol PureBites is the brand
No idea who brands a feed supply normal sells so can't guess as to what they sell.
For grain free you might need a pet store. No clue

Most cats don't like frequent food changing, it takes time for their tummies to adapt, mine would get diarrhea every time I introduced a new brand even though I mixed it with the old one. I guess it can also depend on how sensitive your kitty is.

Well no one had freeze dried shrimp so went with Origen Caged chicken and Merrick Back Country salmon. They didn't like either!! Go figure!! Bought both at Feeders. I'm returning them.
On the dry food-I am using Natural Balance Green Pea and Chicken. They like that! And got at sample of Science Diet Feline Advantage, at Vets. They like that as well. So far so good on those!! We'll see. I'll keep you guys updated.
Thanks so-so much for all the help! You guys are the best!!!

I am trying to switch TO Earthborne Primitive Feline lol but my baby has began refusing her dry food. She loves their cans though!

Okay folks gonna have to make another switch or change to food!
They are already tired of Natural Balance. So do I go back to Nature Born or try yet another dry food?
Keep in my my boy has IBS and his sis has a milder form of it as well.
See earlier post for all foods they are on and I added Sheba Tuna stick treats. They love them!!

This is what I use it's great food.
I only feed wet, no dry. By choice. Better for their
urinary track and kidneys.
But, the dry is good too. Chewy is a great place.
They, will, give your money back if your animal
doesn't like it. You don't even have to return the food.
You can donate it to a animal shelter.
Nature's Recipe Grain-Free Chicken & Turkey Recipe in Broth Wet Cat Food, 2.75-oz, case of 24

Nature's Recipe Grain-Free Indoor Chicken & Potato Recipe Dry Cat Food

But, there, is many, other flavors and it's grain free.

Well I tried several other foods besides Natural Balance..Acrana Meadowland and Orijen Regional Red. They only want their Fancy Feast wet right now. My boy won't eat his Science Diet I/d either now and they have zero interest in their Earthborn ( they started on this)so gonna check out Chewy for food.
Any more suggestions??
I also started a thread on wet vs dry so please give thoughts on that post.

My boy has starting eating his Science Diet I/D again so that’s good! Still looking into trying Chewey.
They are doing well with Fancy Feast wet and Natural.
TIA

I admit I dont buy separate treats - gave up on treats with my fussie cats

Years ago my adoptee was treated for a urinary infection -
He eneded up trying science diet uriney hariball formula (not my fav but he refused to eat the food sold at vet)
Well it's really big kibble- but wouldn't you know it all 4 of my adults chomp it like a treat !
Come running for it .. So weird they like it better than any treat I have tried with them

It's a big kibble so I don't recommend for baby kitties since its adult formula

I end up buying the big bag because they eat it all day as treats -
I keep it in a little plastic lidded jar to feed as treats
Hill's Science Diet Adult Urinary Hairball Control Dry Cat Food
No poo issues and no other urinary crystal issues since feeding this as treats for almost 2 years

I know the pure bites treats are a fav of some kitties
