Before we got our kitten we had watched a dozen of videos about sphynx cats and their feeding routine. I saw kittens enthusiastically chewing bones and binging on raw meet (chicken and beef). Osiris eats neither of these. He seems to be attracted by smell when I cut raw meat but he won't simply eat it. I heard giving chicken necks is good for their teeth as they can naturally "brush" fangs with it. I tried cooking it in water, nope. Tried mixing meat with wet food and yolk, and nope again. He will just lick it all over and leave meat pieces untouched. He is a gluttonous boy, always leaving his bowl empty clean. I'm already giving up here lol
Do your cats eat raw meat? Anything else can replace bones to maintain his teeth in good condition?
(PS: when I roast meat he will do anything to grab a piece, but he shouldn't probably be eating roasted in oil and pepper steaks...)

Has he ever eaten raw before? What I can tell you is the transition period to raw varies widely. Let me know if he’s got a history of raw and if not I’ll walk you through that.

My little guy had to start off with ground only but eventually graduated to whole prey.

Also…very dangerous to feed cooked bone. I might have misunderstood you but it sounded like that was attempted. Cooking it dries it out and it splinters and can cause injury to them if ingested.

Thank you for popping in! My vet recommended to scald raw food (yolk/meat) before giving it to kitten. I don't cook it until well done, just leaving it for a moment in hot water. He tried chicken and it was alright. One time I managed to mix some raw beef with vegs and wet food and he ate it. But never again :c Ah, forgot to mention, he one time popped on the counter and started licking raw meat, but when i cut a piece of it he didn't even want to sniff it :D

My favorite resource to recommend is StackPath

Some key points to take away though:

1) It’s important to keep appropriate balance of macros when making raw food. It’s typically 80% muscle, 10% bone and 10% secreting organ

2) Most kitties have an adjustment period. Often you can mix some raw with canned food to encourage them, and just gradually reduce the canned food portion.

I will take a look, thank you !
I'm still wondering what makes him lick a full raw steak and ditch it when cut in pieces. Is it just his character ? :D

I honestly don’t know except to say cats are weird. My little guy for instance will not touch a quail until I cut out the gizzard. They make him gag.
