Christmas Traditions

Does anyone have any Christmas Traditions they want to share? Our season starts when I get all the nutcrackers out. I have over 70 of them now all shapes and sizes!

We have lots of decorations in side and out and I love lights and lots of them!!!! I am a bit behind this year because of our trip but am doing outside and the tree today, I did inside already. I have christmas music on in my car since December 1 and love it!
We stay home but just have A revolving door and its great everyone know I don't leave the house for Christmas Eve or day, but all are welcome. On Christmas eve I make lasagna and hubbys grandmother sleeps over, my mom, sister and kids, and some neighbors stop in for a while. Christmas morning the kids are up at like 3am and do their presents then I cook,cook, and cook! Admin and I get lots of scratch off lottery tickets in our stocking so we do those. Then the copmany starts rolling in.

I always get the Christmas mugs out! Every hot drink I have has to go in one of those! My mum did it right from when I was little and now I have my own selection of Christmas coffee cups. Sad I know. My favourie one has a gingerbread man on and a candy cane for the handle. I also like silly Christmas music .

On Christmas Eve, I go to church for midnight services. Then, on Christmas morning, my sister comes over with risen bread dough and the gifts she's giving me. She puts them under the tree--then she sits down and plays with the cats/dogs while I fry the bread gobs. Pull bits of risen dough and stretch into a thin slab--poke hole through the middle with your finger and deep fry them in oil til brown, turn over and brown on other side, drain on paper towel, then put butter and jam on them and they taste like the most delicious sweet rolls right out of the oven! We eat a few of those with coffee and juice and the occasional slice of bacon. The we open our gifts. Afterward we watch a movie and later on I will make a big pot of cheesy potato leek soup that is to die for. Then she goes home and we meet again the next morning to go shopping for the after Christmas sales.

we celebrate christmas at my parents house. we celebrate on christmas eve, though. we go there for dinner, open presents from our secret santa and then on christmas day we usually go to the movies

We BBQ on Christmas Eve, despite the freezing temperatures. Then we do a get together at someone's house, which happens to be my parent's this year. No dinners on Christmas, though. Just lots of snacks and yummy goodies.
