I have always been curious about how spynx can scratch an itch without cutting themself. Im a human and even I do it to myself LOL

They do get scratches. Scratches are more obvious on the darker colored Sphynx.

They feel like they have really thick skin which I'm sure helps. I have given Sphynx and 'normal' cats injections and there definately is a difference between them both. My vet always comments about how thick their skin feels.

Mine does get scratches. That's not normal? He usually gets them up near his face and ears. I always figured they were nothing to worry about. They go away after a day or two so I don't worry.

Sometimes I think he gets them from banging into stuff. He never knows how close his face is to a relative object because he doesn't have feelers.

My guy kicks his foot about two inches from his face, attempting to scratch.... but I think he's worried about hurting himself so he barely ever makes contact with his face!! Haha when I see this, I just scratch his head for him.

Awww! That's so cute!! Mugsd is dark and you can see where he's been scratching sometimes.

Ours do get a scratch from time to time, but to me the most amazing thing is when I am standing and Leo runs up my legs and back to perch on my shoulder and never scratches me.

Yup! Snuffie must have had an itch by her ear one day and when we came home the scratch was very visible, so now she has a dark scar area there. I hate it. She has a scratch on the inside of her back leg right now - not sure how that happened but I'm sure it will leave a dark line like the others.
