I did a major cleaning today as it is hard to open up and air out during a Minnesota winter. I used Lysol Max - two spray bottles worth as it is anti biotic, anti fungal and anti viral- to clean the carpets, cat tree, and upholstery throughout the house. I then read original Lysol spray is toxic to cats and can cause liver failure!!! The Lysol Max does not contain Phenol and it evens says to use on pet beds. I'm still nervous. I have a 4 mo old and 1 year old precious sphynx babies.

If you bought it specifically for pets then I would think it doesn’t contain the toxic compounds...

@River Mermaid , personally I would not use it in the future
There is a benzl ingredient in it not good for cats
Thank you for sharing - I was not aware of this and will be returning the ones I just bought .
I have used Lysol in the past with no problems but in light of this info will discontinue using it

You can ask your vet what products would be safe to use
and share in the recent thread about cleaning products.

Recently my mom told me not to use swiffer products bcz of something she read
