For those of you who dress your Sphynxs, how long do you keep them in an outfit before changing it? Do you swap into a different outfit immediately, or do you give them some naked time between outfits?
First of all, don't dress your cat for fun, and make sure to find someone who can make clothes for sphynxes since if they wear uncomfortable clothes for other pets (e.g pugs) they can get injured.
The more you keep them draped the more they sweat hence they get dirtier and prone to skin issues (dark crust on their belly , neck and pimples). You can bathe your baby every week but the shampoo and sponge rubs can cause a negative effect as well.
If your place is cold and cat clothes is only option, do it when you see your cat is giving your signals, the tail is shaking, the paws and ears are very cold. Sphynxes take clothes off themselves most of the time when they don't want them anymore. But again, if your baby is rocket active and jumpy i'd recommend buying a few blankets so they can get swaddled in them rather than forcing clothes and watch them suffer.
I put sweaters on Osiris when we go out (in summer so he doesn't get sun burns and in winter when we go out to vet so he doesn't freeze), and home only as already said when it's wintry indoors.
PS: you can also increase their food intake during winterm it helps them too
