That is the understatement of the century, I think.I love the USA but I can see there's a problem with our health care system.
And yet, people don't seem to understand why everyone in Europe is covered universally.
If I feel ill, I go to the doctor. I don't sit there and consult a spreadsheet first to see if I can afford to be ill.
Not only are we covered, our sick days are paid at work. (Although if you are sick a lot... you'll have problems with your employer instead, unless it's something big.)
It always gets me when I watch some medical drama, like House, thinking "and when they are saved, they're bankrupt".
