Curious red patch

Hi all!
My little guy, Pigwidgeon, has a red patch on the skin that's between his back right leg and belly. It doesn't appear to be ringworm, it doesn't seem to bother him at all and he doesn't pay it any extra attention. Before hauling him to the vet, I was wondering if anyone has seen something like this, knows what it may be, and if it may be an easy home fix instead. (Sorry it's a bit blurry, it's impossible to get a better picture because he wiggles so)

I swear by Vetericyn spray. It is awesome for rashes, scratches etc.

Did it just suddenly appear?

Is it hot? How long has he had it?

Was it warm today? Or did he lay on a heater with his leg? Looks like a heat rash. If so it'll probably go away bu itself. Vetericyn spray as @Catzzzmeow posted is great!
