Today’s project!

In anticipation for my baby Marceline’s arrival I am working on building her cat tower/tree. Slowly converting my apartments support column into a cat post! I live in a studio apartment so we have limited floor space for cat trees. Soooo I decided to use the post I already have by adding sisal rope!

My plan is to add 2 shelves going up, so Marceline can have a nice perch! I have to add the L bars for the shelves first and then wrap the sisal over the screws and bars.

Super excited to see it coming along! The long term plan is to make the backwall a cat jungle gym for her, like the company Catastrophic Creations makes. This main post is the start!

Will keep everyone updated! :)

What a great idea. Hopefully she will love it.

Haha hopefully she does! I read that rubbing cat nip on cat trees can help encourage them to warm up to it. Fingers crossed she gets a kick out of it If not, then the worst case scenario is I wasted $30 and now have a fuzzy support post
