Absolutely YES! I have to travel with Piglet as we go on our therapy pet visits. When we drive to Denver, it's an hour to an hour and a half trip depending on where in Denver we're going. I travel with Piglet at least once a week, sometimes two.

But even if we weren't involved with the animal-assited therapy, I'd still be traveling with Piglet because she's such a good little traveler. Whenever she's in the car, she stays quietly in her carrier or sleeps on the back seat of the car. She likes to look out the window at times, though, which I'm sure freaks out the passengers in the other cars on the highway when they see this "alien face" peering out my car window...LOL!

LOL you should have seen the faces of people when we were driving home from Iowa with Abby for the first time...she loves to sunbathe in the back seat window and stare at people...lol
When it gets warmer I will take Abby with me more....right now it is just way to cold here in Wisconsin

not any serious traveling. we live in the city so we walk everywhere we go, and sometimes she comes along! when we go back to visit our families in america we would loooove to take her but im not sure how international travel works, what with quarantine and shots and all? she gets really excited when we get out and about!

I take Meecho on day trips all the time. I don't let anywhere stop us from going there...until we get kicked out like the zoo:LOL: I find that if I take her out in a controlled area it limits her wanting to try to sneak out without my supervision. I'm always worried about her getting out and not knowing it. It's a big scarey world for a hairless kitty who only knows how to hug and kiss you to death:Laugh:

I take Haji to the pet store and to the nursing home I work at from time to time. I just got a pet stroller in the fall so I think next year we'll do alot of walks around the city (I live downtown).

I wish I could take him on weekend trips when I visit family and friends, but most have other cats or aren't cat friendly.

I take Cleo to the pet store and will start taking Wrinkles also.
I also take them to cat shows so they travel alot.
We are doing a TICA show in Monterey in Feb and it will be a long drive.
We also might do Arcadia which is a 6 hour drive.

One or two of mine come to school with me sometimes. Used to go to my sister's with me, but now all the cats don't get along with hers, so we pretty much stay at home.

I usually take Sanura with me when we go shopping or if we are going to an outside event but right now its way to cold so she has been house bound, i would like to find a stroller that i can put all three sphynx in to take them for their walks.

This is great because Ive been thinking about it alot. We have a wedding to go to in April. Peach is really clingy.. must sleep with us, wants to be IN MY CLOTHES, must be by me no matter what Im doing. I can take her if I want to.. Im trying to figure out what would be less stressful. Leaving her with someone with no other cats to snuggle her, or bringing her with us.

A covered stroller sounds like a great idea, Ra usually sits on my shoulder which is fine until someone startles him or there is a really loud bang :Surprise:

Peach might like a covered stroller. When I took her out to try on sweaters, though, I just put her in my big pocketless vera bradley purse and she was totally happy there, purring and hiding if she felt like she needed to. She is so laid back. At least with a stroller I dont have to worry about random people petting her, I mean I love to share her but on the other hand I dont know if their cats are sick or what, you know?

We've talked about them before on the forum, but for the newer members that are thinking of getting pet strollers - ebay has them for $50 with free shipping. I know 3 or 4 of us got ours from there, and they are great quality and a great price!!

Could you tell me the vendor? Or do I just have to search cat strollers on Ebay?

I love traveling with Stella! Except for the recent vet trips, she has not been out as much due to the weather. I mainly take her on day trips like many others on here: Pet Store, my parent's house (this has stopped because of their new Egyptian Mau), and recently my grandma's house. The car rides are so fun. I would enjoy having a pet stroller as well. I wanted to take Stella with us to Florida last year because I did not want to be away from her for so long, but I thought about more cons than pros and ended up finding a babysitter.

I can vouch for what Brooke is saying here about buying strollers from e-Bay...there are a great variety of them on that site at $50 each and most have free shipping. I received my pet stroller within days after ordering it and it was very easy to assemble and use. A lot of the pet stollers have lots of pockets, basket attachments, and drink holders for additional storage while strolling. Piglet loves riding in her bright purple pet stroller and will actually jump into the stroller waiting for me to take her out in it when the weather is warmer.

Meecho is the same way. She loves it so much that I don't even zip it up anymore. She just sits at the end of it with her little paws holding the edge. It's so freakin cute. It's like a little kid really sitting in a stroller. When we get a lot of people who come to meet her she'll turn to me and want me to hold her if she feels overwhelmed. That cracks people up because again she looks like a kid just standing up and reaching her arms up for me.

We have only had Pinkz since August and I've never even thought about traveling with a cat!!! But I worry about him being cold, so when my sister asked us over for Christmas I asked if I could bring the cat (we always take the dog!!) and she said yes. I tried holding him in my lap and he was anxious about the movement of the car, but once he got tired he lay down and rested. When we got to her house, everyone wanted to hold him and when it came time to leave, he didn't want to go!! I kept him in his crate on the way home and he did fine for about half the trip then started crying.

We took him just last night on another home trip and he did a little better. So I anticipate taking him more, just need to practice. Not sure about taking him to pet stores though.

Luna attended our Church New Years Eve party and was the Bell of the Ball. The kids there had never seen a sphynx so it was quite an experience for them and once Luna realized that everyone was focised on her (as it should be) she sat back and enjoyed it all!
