Absolutely YES! I have to travel with Piglet as we go on our therapy pet visits. When we drive to Denver, it's an hour to an hour and a half trip depending on where in Denver we're going. I travel with Piglet at least once a week, sometimes two.
But even if we weren't involved with the animal-assited therapy, I'd still be traveling with Piglet because she's such a good little traveler. Whenever she's in the car, she stays quietly in her carrier or sleeps on the back seat of the car. She likes to look out the window at times, though, which I'm sure freaks out the passengers in the other cars on the highway when they see this "alien face" peering out my car window...LOL!
A covered stroller sounds like a great idea, Ra usually sits on my shoulder which is fine until someone startles him or there is a really loud bang
We've talked about them before on the forum, but for the newer members that are thinking of getting pet strollers - ebay has them for $50 with free shipping. I know 3 or 4 of us got ours from there, and they are great quality and a great price!!

I can vouch for what Brooke is saying here about buying strollers from e-Bay...there are a great variety of them on that site at $50 each and most have free shipping. I received my pet stroller within days after ordering it and it was very easy to assemble and use. A lot of the pet stollers have lots of pockets, basket attachments, and drink holders for additional storage while strolling. Piglet loves riding in her bright purple pet stroller and will actually jump into the stroller waiting for me to take her out in it when the weather is warmer.
