Most of you know that Ellie passed on 9/16/20 at 7:52am. But I don’t want to talk about that...you can find the details in her ARVC thread here: “Ellie: ARVC and CHF”
“Ellie: ARVC and CHF”
What I’d like to do is have everyone say one thing that either they loved about her, or a story that you thought was funny or inspirational, or just something kind in general. I’d like this to be a happy memorial thread.
My favorite story:
Ellie would always be with me no matter where I was in the house. If she left it was only for a few minutes to get a snack or use the litter box. So one day a few years ago, I realized it had been 30 minutes since I had seen her in the living room with me. We had been watching TV together. I started calling her name, no response. So I started walking through the house. I heard a little rustling coming from the master bathroom. I walk in there, and what do I find, but Ellie licking up tiny little beads of fish food off the bathroom floor. See, for some stupid reason I had fish food in there in a Ziploc bag on the bathroom counter. She had pulled the bag down onto the floor, ripped it open and scattered these tiny 1 mm pellets everywhere and was slopping them up off the floor like I’d never fed her before. I should mention her food bowl was full right in the same room. Anyway, you can’t get mad about these things. They are too hilarious!. It’s one of my favorite stories about her and I treasure it every time I think about it.
