i have come to believe this has is happening to my kitten sphynx, the doc says she has so much skin its just causing her eyelids to turn in. he mentioned the can grow into their skin and that can be resolved. but i mean shes obviously had it awhile now. surgery was suggested to either:
A. lazer small "x"s below her eyes to sort of pull the skin back... or
B. surgery to remove some tissue below her eyes to help.

i obviously would love to avoid sugery, but i think making her wait to grow into her skin is is torture just the same. does anyone have any suggestions or know what i can do to help this little baby??

Sorry to hear of your issue, has all underlying issues been ruled out? Feline Herpes? Entropian has been known to be caused by underlying health issues. Also, depending on the severity and treatment thus far, antibiotics can keep infection at a minimal until fully healed. Surgery is needed in severe cases. Please keep us posted.

Hi @Moezesucks! My kitten had the same issue. After taking her to an ophthalmologist, they said that the amount of excess she had was far too much to ever grow into, so my Zoa had to have surgery.

How old is your kitten? You might want to take her to a specialist. They are pricier, but they will have a better idea of whether your kitten has a chance of growing into her eyelids, and if not, they will probably be better equipped to do a surgery that won't need revision when she grows.

The surgery definitely saved my cat's eyesight. The constant scratching of the hair against her eyes led to ulcers on both corneas that could not heal until the surgery was complete.

Hope you find out from a specialist what's best for your baby
and it can be taken care of.

Hi!
! At what age do they grow into their eyelids? How much did the surgery cost?
Thank you :)
