Finally Home!

I picked my first sphynx up today!! Thanks to mews2much I found the Cargo place. I've never seen one in real life or even touched one before today. He is incredible!!! I'm keeping him in my room for a couple of days while he gets used to everything. He's so friendly, I thought he would be nervous but he was just running around exploring and now he's sitting next to me cuddled up sleeping. SO CUTE!!

He had a little accident though in the carrier on the way here, he peed a little. I was wondering if I should leave the blankets like they are because they smell like the house he came from.. or if I should wash them?

I am going to the on airport on sat to get my new sphynx.

When I got Cleo I had never touched a sphynx either but I had seen them at a show.

Do you have other animals?
I admit, I planned on keeping Haji in my bedroom, but he was comfortable from the first second and he adapted to the house immediately (but I don't have any other animals). I couldn't bear to be apart from him for a second!

Introduce him to the litter box and I'm sure your kitty will do just fine!

Awe congrats! What an adorable photo! I would leave the bedroom door cracked in case he is comfortable enough to venture out (unless you are worried about the other pets). When introducing my adult sphynx to my house I would leave the door open a crack, she would come out and sniff around before going back to the bedroom. I would also wash the blankets just so he doesn't think that's where he's supposed to pee Have fun!

I'll have pics soon, my bf is coming with the camera after work. I do have other animals. One other cat and a really big husky/German Shepard mix. I'm nervous about introducing them. He's the most amazing thing. My family likes him already.

Just go slowly when you introduce them.

I am so happy for you!! Just take it slow with the introduction and everything should be fine. I had also never touched a sphynx before....is it not amazing!! I can't wait to see pictures....LOTS of them!! LOL

You need to keep him away from your other animals for a week to ten days. It's very important in case he has something--watch him and then after the quarantine, intro him very slowly to the dog. The bigger deal you make of it, the bigger deal your dog will too....be calm and take it slow.

Am really pleased for you! Glad he's made himself at home, they do seem to do that very quickly!! I never get bored with how sphynx's feel and other peoples amazement when they come round and pet them is great too!

I hope everything goes well with the introductions and look forward to seeing more pics.
