Ahhh, I'm so excited!!! We finally just got confirmation from the breeder that we can claim the blue-cream female we've had or eye on :D

She's about 11 weeks old now and we don't have an official gotcha day yet because she still isn't the right size to be spayed, and then she will need to recover, etc. I expect she will be able to come home around the 14-16 week mark, and from what I understand that's actually the norm and healthiest for the kitten. Yes it's more waiting but honestly this waiting I can handle because I finally KNOW she's ours. The wait was killing me when I didn't know XD.

FINALLY!!!! Been waiting for a half a year :D For anyone who's been following this Saga we've had or eye on this kitten since she was 8 weeks old, but had to wait to see if everyone ahead of us on the waiting list would take her or not. It was an excruciating 3 weeks!!! I'd love to post pictures but I don't believe I can as all the photos are water marked with the cattery name (so other scammers don't steal the pics) But as soon as I have one you can bet I'll show you. She's a blue cream female and from photos she looks to have a subtle Torti pattern...like she's marbeled. She has the cutest brown line on her nose I'm in love with! I believe shes going to have green eyes. Breeder says she's very outgoing :)

I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to everyone here. You guys are the most loving and positive and helpful corner of the internet ever and I tell everyone I know that! Thank you for all your encouragement, your help and advice and sharing your own furless loves. It made the wait bearable.

We've had a name picked out for forever. The husband and I are both musical fans...we follow the Tony's with the same religious fervor most people reserve for sports. It just made sense to us to name her after a cat on the musical "Cats". We're going to call her "The Magical Mr. Mistoffelees" after our favourite song and cat. We're going to call her Mistoffelees and Missy for short :)

I actually want to see if I can train her to come to the song from the musical XD. I figure if I play it for every feeding time she'll associate it with good things, and I'd love to have a special way to get her to come running, in case she gets out or something. Seems like a handy trick for emergencies but not such a common way to call her that anyone from the street could figure it out and could entice her to come.

I also totally know what you mean by that marbeled human skin thing. That's exactly what I think she looks like too, except perhaps a bit darker :)

YAYYY!!! Ahhh I'm so happy for you and your husband, and I can't wait to see pics of your sweet girl!!! I absolutely love the "marbled" look, my moms little girl kinda sorta looks like that and she's beautiful!! I feel your pain of not being able to share pics, my breeder does the same thing with the watermarks to keep scammers away. Its a good idea though, I had never thought that's why before!

@TheZu , thanks for sharing the very special name choice :)

Your plans for the music feeding I bet will be a success

I say this because there is an outside cat I feed for years - she hangs out at a house 4 doors down -
When Raven hears the sound of my motorcycle she comes running before she even sees it ! Not just any motorcycle that rides thru the neighborhood
My neighs told me it's so funny to see

She literally runs down the sidewalk straight to my house to the food dish

I can't wait for gotcha day pics of Ms .Mistoffelees :)

That's so funny she knows your motorcycle!!!

I've already called my local vet and this weekend or early next week I'm going to come in and tell with the vet, see what they suggest and if they're familiar with the breed. My mom suggested touching base with a good vet before we even get her, that's what they did for their dog. I'm going to their vet, I like how they've taken care of my mom's dog. They saved his life when a steak bone got logged in his bowels, even though my parents couldn't afford it. He agreed to let them pay whatever they could whenever they could overtime until it was all paid off :)

YAY! So happy for you. The waiting is so hard - I still have until end of August. It’s torture. I can’t wait to see pics of your baby

@TheZu , ((hugs)))) amd that sounds like an amazing vet !
Old school caring - amd willing to do right by the animal and work with the established clients for payment
that is becoming a rarity

My vet has limited Sphynx clientele but is always willing get to comtact a colleague or specialist right on the phone as we are in the exam room and send pics videos to colleagues

Look forward to updates (((hugs))

Breeder says she's a very outgoing kitty. Can't wait to send pictures :D

She still has the all clear to come home this Wednesday :D. Breeder just sent me a care package to read over all the important information for bringing her home. The good news is, everyone here is so helpful and knowledgeable I already have every necessary items listed and thr information wasn't new to me either :)
