We survived the first night, which was a bit rough. Scrote and Ova took a liking to the space under our bed, so they spent the entire night playing and running around the bedroom. After getting no sleep, I finally went into the living room at 2:30 a.m. to attempt to get some sleep. Guess who followed me? In all, I think I managed to get forty-minutes of sleep.

I am happy to report that they immediately started using their litter box and did not seem to have upset stomachs.

Scrote has been quite active. Ova has been the cuddler. In fact, she even sat and enjoyed a YouTube clip of Janet Jackson with me. I think she and I will be getting along fabulously.

Awwwww that's cute. Congrats on making it through the first night...make sure you play them hard all evening so they are ready for sleep when you are...that always works for me.

Congrats on getting them.
They sure are cute.
Do you have another room they can go in at night?
Mine have their own room and you can hear them playing all night.

Sounds like they're settling right in. Be sure to take lots of baby pictures cause they grow up fast!

:LOL::LOL::LOL:
My boys spent the night and most of early this morning biting my toes....both are over a year old. If you really need a good nights rest, might I suggest closing the door and using ear plugs
Sphynx cats are little monkeys!
Enjoy and good luck!

Good Advice, but be prepared to clean up the mess they make in protest of being locked out of your room, lol!

It's funny how cats just love to sit on the keyboard with you. I'm glad to hear that your new babies are doing great! Lots of kisses and cuddles to them!

That's odd about the playing all night, cause when it was just Hibou, she'd come to bed when we did, and wouldn't get up to play until we did. I'm sure she gets up in the night, but very rarely to horseplay. Now that Kokka is home though, there have been a few 4 am wake ups to hearing her cry out when Hibou is getting too rough. And Kokka hasn't quite figured out that our faces and heads should not be considered for stepping stones.:LOL:

Sounds like our house! Night time is a great time for rough play and jumping on Mommy and Daddy while they try to sleep!

When I finally fell asleep, I was awakened by both of them sitting on my chest staring at me. I can tell they will be running the house soon.

Glad you made it through the night! It will get easier. Sophie lets me go to sleep now but it's time to wake up when she wants to get up.

:BigSmile: So happy that your new additions are making themselves at home! Sphynx are quite the little monkeys! I don't remember who said it in an earlier response, but it's true, if you play with them hard before bed, they will usually curl right on up when you are ready to sleep! Have fun!! Take lots of pics--they are so ridiculously cute when they are little!

Hahhaa, I can picture that. I've been getting less of that as Butterball has aged. I have noticed when I sleep late, Butterball can get a little restless.

All of our kittens took a few days to adjust to our sleeping schedule, but they did it pretty fast. We were just very insistent about picking them up every night at bedtime and putting them under the covers with us.

I don't allow cats in the bedroom. I am a light sleeper and it I just get zero sleep with 3 cats fighting over who gets to sleep on my face. I free feed my cats so they don't bother me if I sleep in either since the food is always out and the litter box cleans itself.

No worries, things will be back to normal soon as Scrote and Ova get you trained. There's no way I could lock Pedda out of my bedroom, she screams non-stop for hours until I break down and let her in. Full blown screams too, not cute little meows.

I can't sleep if Snuffie isnt cuddled up in my arms or down by my feet. Her purrs keep me asleep.

I hope you sleep better tonight.
