Poor Sweet thing is declawed...they know nothing about the Sphynx if they did that. I know most people dont know how gentle these cats can be. Mine are still young and yet they have NEVER scatched me or the grandkids. Do most folks not see how cruel it is to cut off their toe tips?

I get so saddened by declawing. I find it curious that cats who are up for rehoming on Craigslist often seem to be declawed.

Have anyone here inquired what the 'small rehoming fee' is?

Its really none of my business, ElGatoLoco, but what would it take to turn "I''m so tempted'" to "What the hell, you only live once!"?

I think Butterball needs a playmate:Laugh:

Indeed he does. Unfortunately I'm staying with my father and he had a kidney removed last year. His health has seemed to decline since the operation. He started a bad cough recently and my mother thinks my cat is causing it. I'm not so sure but now Butterball is being segregated from my dad. So getting another kitty right now just isn't practical for me. Butternuts still wants a little sister but we're just going to have to wait for a little while.

I'm sorry to hear about your father

When the time is right though, Butterball will be so happy to have a little sister! Imagine the cute new videos we will have of the two of them together, I can hardly wait

I'm sorry to hear your Dad is not in great health. Your mom might be stressed about your Dad's cough and is looking for a simple cause and easy solution. Poor Butterball; it's not easy being a scapegoat. He'll get his little sister when the time is right for both of you.

You hit the nail on the head with that statement. Butterball is definitely the scapegoat in this case. She doesn't like animals of any kind. And we don't exactly see eye to eye.

But, she could be right so we might as well try this segregation thing. Ball gets to spend more time outside (on the screened in porch) so he's fine with it. The weather is supposed to be relatively cool the next week or so. Cool in Texas summer is 90F. So it will be 80 or so in the shade.

MamaLoco doesn't know what she's missing. She needs to let a little animal love into her heart.

A cool front is moving through Maine right now. Tomorrow's high of the day is only going to be 68, but they are saying we may hit 90 for the first time this year on Tuesday.

I am sorry to hear about your dad. My mother lives with me and she is 72. Thank God she adores Dinka. It is hard when you see a cat out there that needs a GOOD home - you just drool over the prospect of having another Sphynx love.

Wow - it has been in the upper 90's in Texas. Our cool front was 89. Whew. Good weather for naked kitties though.
