Did you know cats can mate multiple times during one heat cycle and can have offspring with different sires? This means when she gives birth some kittens can be from different males in that one litter. The scientific name for this is superfecundation.

@Toa and Ross yes it popped up as my top FB memory for 2012 yesterday lol. I couldn’t resist using it.

I think it is a crazy fact...when you really give it thought. Some kittens can be conceived a couple of days apart, but they have both of them at the same time.
