Many of you know all kittens are born with blue eyes, but do you know why?

Blue eyes in cats are generally caused by a lack of pigment. Kittens don't develop eye pigmentation until they're around six weeks old, because that is when the production of melanin naturally kicks in.

@Catzzzmeow aaaw thanks for picking out Ross. Ross pic is not visible for me or is that my site causing problems?
It's so fascinating that kittens, and babies, obly develop their true eye colours after a few weeks!
