For all you trivia or word game lovers out there. Ailurophobia is the persistent, irrational fear of cats . A person with such a fear is known as an ailurophobe.

There have been many famous people throughout history who were openly terrified of cats, including Napoleon Bonaparte, Benito Mussolini, Adolph Hitler, Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, and King Henry III of France.

The condition of having ailurophobia is distinct from those people who simply do not like cats. For a reaction to be classed as a phobia, it must significantly interfere with the person’s life on a day-to-day life. It’s pretty safe to say there are no ailurophobes in the Sphynxlair group, that’s for sure.

Happy Friday Lairians!
