What is the difference between ear tufts and ear furnishings?
Ear tufts refer to the fur that grows from the tips of the ears (often called lynx tipping), and ear furnishings are the fur that grows from the inside of their ears.
The hair in and around cat’s ears isn't there to just make them look cuter. It actually helps to keep debris out and helps to filter sound directly into a cat’s ears. Sphynx are not a breed that has tufts or ear furnishings, but I think our girl Jouët is trying to sprout tiny tufts in this pic lol.
