Fun Friday Cat Fact of the Day 9-29-23

We all know that kittens are delicate. But, did you know that kittens need help from their mother to go to the bathroom? Their mother will gently lick their “private areas” to stimulate the kitten to urinate and defecate. This help is critical to a kittens life. When kittens are orphaned, their human caregiver needs to perform the same stimulation with a moist cotton ball to encourage normal bodily functions.

He’s so sweet. I love the different proportions they seem to grow through along the way…feet are immense, ears are overlarge in comparison to remainder…by 5 months, this is pretty well over.

@tuffysmommy that’s so true. We thought he was going to be big because his paws looked huge when he was a kitten. He is quiet tiny thought. He is 8 pounds.

Oh, how I love this kitty! I can't believe grown-up Ochi is only 8 pounds. He has such "presence"!

@Letitia yeah only 8 pounds and took him a couple of years to reach that weight. We often call him Tiny Hiney because his is so slim.
