thanks, I'll have to watch around the lillies and irises...also one more for the list...Castor Bean Flowers, they are and ornamental plant / flower, and ingestion of the seeds is fatal. This is the seed they used to produce Ricin, a poison for which there is not antidote...humans or pets!

This, this, this.

We lost 3 girls while I was in England, as my husband was in and out of the attached garage working and he didn't shut the garage door. They got into something and we lost them.

There was so much toxic/ poisonous stuff in there that it could have been anything (including some dead mice that ate rodent posion.) I'm still heartbroken.

Remember to treat the cats as babies, make sure there is nothing toxic within reach, they will/ can eat anything.

Thanks for the info!

I did know about the lillies as they are my favourites, especially Cala's but never have them in the house now.

LILIES is my big one- I don't think people realize how totally dangerous those gorgeous flowers are! Easter and Mother's Day- it's like, "KEEP THEM OUTTA MY HOUSE!"

Good list!

bear in mind that in the case of iris' it is the roots that are the poisonous parts. The leaves and flowers are said to only have a very limited amounts of the toxins.
