Here's the latest on little Gemstone, she's doing VERY well all things considered. Aside from some nasty diarrhea today that I'm sure is related to the stresses on her little body - She's been in my home less then a week, I've had to cold switch her to a new food because the pet shop just fed her "whatever they decided on that week", and couldn't tell me what brand of food they'd most recently been feeding, then add the stress of breaking her leg - No wonder she has a little bit of diarrhea! But aside from that, I had to take her back and get the leg re-splinted today, which is actually a GREAT thing, what that means is the swelling has gone down SO much that the splint was starting to slip! She goes in for surgery tomorrow morning, I'll be a nervious wreck all day waiting to hear the outcome! I still have quite a ways to go to completely cover her bill, but the vet is going to work with me and allow me to pay over time so I have a bit more time to get the funds together, I just have to have half the money upfront which I'm getting close to having.
Anyway, that's the lastest! Here's a few shots I took of her last night, she's the only dog I know who can look THIS comfortable 2 days after breaking her leg!
