Getting sick

Denali has been on raw food for the past 5 months. He was doing completely fine on it no problems. Over the past three weeks he’s been vomiting it up. I took him to the vet they put him on a dry kibble. He did fine with it. Although I don’t want him just having dry kibble as the main nutrients source for his day. We took about a week off the raw to give his body a bit of a break and have slowly been reintroducing and he’s back to vomiting.

Sadly, yes it was a brand new bag and was trying to eliminate all other causes. I’ll buy a few new ones and try them out.

I just want him happy and healthy (and not on strictly kibble)

@Denali Does that food you were trying to feed have any preservatives or sulphur dioxide?
what proteins are in that product? Do you have a list of ingredients you can post here?

He has been on Small Batch Chicken. He seemed to like the turkey. He’s not a fan of duck but will eat it.

He was previously on Royal Canin Kitten for dry.

Yeah I’m thinking it may have been a bad batch. Is it the kind you keep in the fridge?

I keep them in the freezer. They are frozen when I buy them. And thaw on the counter.

Ah ok. So no chance it went bad later then. Just to be safe I would purchase another bag and insure the lot number is different. If you find you have no trouble with the new bag then I’d call the company and report the bad bag.

Update: he had a blockage causing him to vomit. It had nothing to do with his food.

He’s doing great! Screaming out me constantly for more food. Currently vet has him on a controlled diet to ensure everything goes down and stays down. And allows for his wounds to heal.

He had eaten one of my foam lacing blocks. He is almost completely healed. And has been wanting to eat like nonstop.
