Gummi back to vet, prayers needed

We just got home from the festival, it's after midnight, whew! I am stealing a minute to let you all know, that there is more poop, soft and runny again, but not water like before. Well solid poo every time is a little much to hope for I guess, lol, but she is out of her crate, rubbing on my legs, purring her butt off, and ate double glop helpings just now, she's got a lot of weight to gain back and is wasting no time with it! I truly feel like we are over the hump, She had no fluids today and is well hydrated all on her own!
I am so blessed to have each and every one of you here!
My son said he prayed for her, and God listens to little kids so he knows she will be okay! I swear that is the most sensitive kid, he does not play sports, and does not always fit in at school, but he has a giant heart and he has the most personal relationship with God that I have ever witnessed. We are not a strict religious family, more often than not, I sleep in on Sunday and miss church, but my 8 yr old collects bibles and has a special tree in the yard that he says he prays under because he "can hear God there the loudest" I don't know where he gets it, but Gummi is blessed to have him praying on her side!

I love you all, and I am off to bed!

Your son sounds like a very special person. It sounds as if you have the honor of raising a wonderful man. Enjoy him.

I was actually able to relax yesterday. The good news was awesome. Glad to hear she is eating more today. Your son is a sweetheart and a special spirit. Hugs to him and your husband.

I would say that we are out of the woods, her apetite has returned with a vengeance! She is eating..and eating..and eating! She started back on dry TOTW today in addition to her glop mix. The solid poo must have been a fluke, because it has not happened again. It is runny and soft, but not water. She wants out of the bathroom badly, lol, her sisters want her back too. Right now she is snuggled in my lap purring and swatting at my necklace! I don't know if er will ever have solid poops, but I don't even care at this point!

I want to make a video of this ordeal. I'm curious, do you have any pictures of Gummi while she was sick? And maybe of your son holding Gummi? I have it all planned out. Just need a little bit of content.

I apologize for my last reply. i had only read 1/2 of the thread and assumed after the vet visit (the one not w/ your regular vet) was the last posting by you.. which i thought was good news.. however, at the time i did not read the entire thread. i'm sorry. i realize now, having read through it all that i was a little off in my congratulations

It sounds like Gummi is doing better now though. So thats good news! what a horrible experience for Gummi, you and your family. Hopefully soon you can open for bathroom icu and allow her to snuggle with your other babies. i'm sure she misses them terribly.

your son sounds like a great kid. and your husband sounds pretty awesome too! keep on staying strong. God is hearing your family's prayers.

If the poops are still runny try some raw but remember to freeze it first! You can serve it with tase of the wild because that is grain free and will not upset her tummy.

freeze it first? Can you PM me or email me some guidelines for raw feeding cats? thanks, if you want to email its bronwynshingler at yahoo I have not scheduled a follow up yet, as I still have an outstanding balance due with them and need to be able to pay it first, but soon, soon
